Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Sioux Falls, SD 57105 (South Dakota nursing jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel RN

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care, Med / Surg Telemetry Unit

Start Date : November 17, 2025

End Date : February 16, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour rotating shifts (day / night), every other weekend required

Guaranteed Hours : 48 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2140 - $2290

Dress Code : Navy Blue Scrubs

Charting System : EPIC (electronic health record)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (open to candidates awaiting South Dakota state licensure)

Minimum 1 year recent experience as a Med / Surg Telemetry RN

Current ACLS and BLS certifications

Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Ability to float to similar Med / Surg and Telemetry units

Must not have worked for Sanford Health in the past 6 months (if applicable)

Med / Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Deliver individualized nursing care using the nursing process : assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan and evaluate patient care

Manage and coordinate care for patients with complex medical needs

Conduct age-appropriate patient assessments and nursing interventions

Educate patients and families on health, treatment plans, and follow-up care

Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC electronic health records

Promote patient safety and a positive healthcare environment

Comply with legal regulations and organizational policies regarding patient health information

Float to similar nursing units within the facility as needed
