We are hiring summer 2026 Research Technician Interns at our lab in Mercer, PA. The primary purpose of the Research Intern is product analysis and data collection.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform daily quality control testing, conduct analysis of aggregate samples, perform lab production and testing of asphalt emulsions and cut-backs, and evaluate asphalt mix design
• Perform routine testing of asphalt and make recommendations on adjustments to material properties to ensure compliance with job, agency, or state specifications
• Perform data collection and reporting to meet job and agency specifications
• Maintain an organized and clean lab
• Follow all safety policies and practices
• All other duties as assigned

Work Environment

This position requires most of its responsibilities be performed in an asphalt emulsions manufacturing plant laboratory. Work conditions may involve exposure to hot materials, chemicals, fumes, dust, odors, gases, and other substances used in a construction environment.
