Job Summary
The IT Support Specialist I is responsible for providing IT support knowledge / experience for the technical running and maintenance of the OIT Student Labs. The ITSS I is a hands-on technical position that works on advanced technical tasks, conducts research, and other duties as required. This position will coordinate and work in conjunction with the OIT Student Labs and TEI On-Site Support Services.
Minimum Education and Experience
Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field with 1 year of related experience, OR Associate's Degree in Information Systems or related field with 2 years of related experience, OR 4 years of related experience, OR any equivalent combination of relevant education and / or experience.
Other Qualifications
To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
