OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of speech and language development, particularly in children, and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality therapy services. This role involves working closely with students, families, and educational staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement effective speech therapy interventions.
- Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech and language abilities in children.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and student needs.
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students in various settings, including schools and acute care environments.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support the communication needs of students.
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress reports.
- Stay current with best practices in speech therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Requirements
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to speech-language pathology.
- Experience working with children, particularly in early intervention settings.
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation in school environments.
- Proven experience providing speech therapy services to students with diverse needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to therapy.
- Knowledge of acute care practices is a plus but not required.
