Overview

OSP Field Construction / Project Manager - Richmond, Suffolk, and Williamsburg, VA area. This role involves field work, vendor management, and construction project management to support building a Fiber to the Home network. The position requires comfort with field site walkouts and with managing capital projects, municipal personnel, utility owners, GC's and other vendors. You will be the client's "Go to" person to ensure the OSP build goes smoothly. This is a contract position that will likely extend into 2026. Local candidates are preferred due to regular field visits; mileage is paid at government rate. Pay : $38-$42 / hr DOE plus mileage.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of construction of facility upgrades (Aerial & UG) and additions throughout the assigned region.
• Ensure cost-effective OSP site development and appropriate contract administration.
• Confirm as-built and initial system performance specifications.
• Vendor punch-list management.
• Plan and schedule work with contractors, Department of Transportation, landowners, and public utilities.
• Order materials for the department; coordinate and supervise material inventory activities.
• Observe all company safety procedures at all times.
• Develop cost estimates for construction and implementation of all services to be provided.
• Work effectively with other departments and coordinate cross-departmental activity.
• Follow, support, and enforce all internal control processes and procedures.
• Capable of managing large in-scope or multiple projects.
