American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring NM or compact licensure, BLS and PALS, and critical care procedure experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of a Level I trauma and teaching children's hospitalPatient ratio is 1 : 2 in the PICUTreats patients with diagnoses including respiratory distress / failure, renal failure, trauma, heme / onc, multi-system organ failure, and suicide attemptsCRRT, ECMO, and vent experience required with inotropic dripsRotating 12-hour shifts; must be able to work both day and night shifts during the contract though not within the same 4-week periodWeekend requirement is 4 shifts per schedule for day shift and 4–5 for night shift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights are considered weekends)Floating required to NICU; may provide resource support in Pediatric ED without patient assignmentsUses Cerner for charting; prior experience with Cerner is advantageousNo on-call responsibilitiesNo local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radiusMust perform CRRT, ECMO, ventilator management, and administer inotropic dripsExpected to float within pediatric scope as needed, including to NICU and as a resource in Pediatric EDScrub color is black and must be provided by the nurseHoliday time off limited to one holiday bundle; more than 7 days of RTO requires approvalFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyTravelers may work up to 12 consecutive months before a break is requiredOrientation includes required module completion and compliance trainingPerm employees may return as travelers if separated for 12 months or more\n \n Requirements\n
