We are a small, client-focused
- Estate Planning & Elder Law
- firm located in Camden, Maine. We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented
- Associate Attorney
- to join our practice. This role is ideal for an attorney who values meaningful client relationships, careful drafting, and a calm, supportive work environment.
We provide full training in estate planning, elder law, probate, trust administration, and Medicaid / long-term care planning. If you have strong writing skills, professionalism, and a desire to help families, you will thrive in this position.
- Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to design estate plans
- Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives
- Assist families with long-term care and Medicaid eligibility planning
- Prepare probate pleadings, inventories, notices, and accountings
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
- Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines
- Participate in CLEs and ongoing professional development
- Required Qualifications
- J.D. degree
- Active Maine Bar license or eligibility for admission / reciprocity
- Excellent legal writing and analytical skills
- Strong professionalism and client communication skills
- Ability to communicate with clients in a clear, empathetic manner
- Ability to manage deadlines and maintain organized case files
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or coursework in estate planning, probate, taxation, or elder law
- Judicial clerkship experience
- Client-facing professional or legal experience
- Interest in long-term practice in Midcoast Maine
- Desire to grow within a small, supportive firm
- Compensation
- $85,000–$115,000 per year
