Job Summary

VSolvit is currently seeking the services of an experienced Help Desk Support person. The candidate will initially work under close personal supervision to training on operations of Government-Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP). The candidate will be provided detailed written or oral guidance to GIDEP customer base. The candidate will resolve common operating.

As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), and staying focused on the assigned tasks including company meetings, and completing other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Answer help desk phones for assigned account(s) and respond to inquiries to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Identify customer needs and resolve issues based on applicable policies and procedures
  • Assist in resolving technical problems on an account by providing guidance regarding hardware and software problems. Resolve and / or refer highly complex technical problems as appropriate.
  • Respond to inquiries submitted via email.
  • Maintain and update records and the GIDEP tracking database.
  • Process membership applications.
  • Access Government sites to vet membership applicants

Additionally, the candidate must have the following skillsets :

  • Ability to research and process information, assemble data through interrogation / navigation of internet based information systems using various search engines
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing and work with others as a team member
  • Ability to maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude in an environment that requires teamwork, efficiency, cross-training
  • Ability to learn quickly, multi-task and work at a fast pace
  • Basic Qualifications

  • Must have 2+ years’ experience in Microsoft Suite of applications to include Excel and Word
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • US Citizenship required
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance OR the ability to reactivate a DoD Clearance held within the last 24 months OR current Interim Clearance
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Diminishing Manufacturing Sources & Material Shortages (DMSMS), Engineering, metrology, product information, and reliability & maintainability (R&M) information
