What you´ll do

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Conducts all R&D laboratory work in a safe manner including the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), adherence to site safety practices, use of laboratory equipment, 5S, etc.

Provides support for various projects assigned by Sr. Chemist, Scientist and / or Lab Manager. Employs basic problem-solving skill sets to overcome project bottlenecks and maintain project deliverable dates.

Understand chemical ingredients and formulating under instructions.

Prepare batch formulations according to written instructions by Sr. Chemist, Scientist and / or Lab Manager as well as sampling / shipping papers.

Understanding of mathematical and statistical techniques relevant to adhesive product testing.

Collects and organizes data in a coherent format.

Communicates basic observations regarding data and / or experimental outcome.

What makes you a good fit

Minimum Qualifications :

Minimum of an associate’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or a science field. Preferred bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or a science field.

Minimum 3 years of experience working in a Chemical laboratory, 5 years is preferred.

Ability to gather, understand, and interpret chemical, physical and mechanical data.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other team members in product development programs. Candidate must be able to work as a team member and independently on multi-task assignments.

Strong verbal communication skills one-on-one with colleagues / customers as well as in front of groups.

Knowledgeable in Power Point, Word, Lotus Notes, Excel and Statistical Analysis Software is preferred.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to work in a chemical lab environment and with lab equipment and computers.

Able to carry out laboratory activities.

Frequently sit, view a computer screen, and type on a keyboard for extended periods of times.

Occasionally may be required to reach, squat, bend and lift up to 25 lbs.

The salary for this role is $55,000.00 - $70,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
