Job descriptionExcellent communication skills with both young people, parents, volunteers and other staff. Professional and friendly demeanor. Certification in First Aid and CPR. Background Check and Livescan (to be completed upon hire and prior to working with Young People).
Position : Church Youth Ministry Leader.
Part-time, at-will, non-exempt position, 10 hours per week and requires work on Sunday mornings with a theologically progressive, welcoming United Methodist Church.
Hourly, based on experience. ($17 - $20 / hour).
Direct Report to : Senior Pastor.
Essential job functions :
- Planning, organizing, budgeting and carrying out of vibrant Church Youth Program (Grades 6-12), including weekly fellowship meetings, Young People’s Sunday School / Bible Study, Annual Service opportunities.
- Recruitment, training and supervision of adult volunteers.
- Participation in Weekly Sunday Worship Services.
