OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team. Knowledge of CAT, CUMMINS, and KENWORTH a plus. Also able to troubleshoot and Trailer Repair is also needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance, particularly with diesel engines, and possess excellent problem-solving skills. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various diesel-powered vehicles and industrial equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
- Responsibilities
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections on diesel engines to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and equipment, including hand tools and diagnostic software.
- Conduct repairs on diesel engines, including brake repair and air brake systems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working in the shop environment.
- Requirements
- Proven experience in diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment and the ability to perform brake repairs.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment related to diesel mechanics.
- Knowledge of soldering techniques is a plus.
- Experience working in a dealership setting is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver's license is required.
