Job descriptionProviding X-Ray and mammography services to patients Reviewing medical information and interpreting requisitions accurately Following established protocols for mammography and X-Ray Applying Universal Precautions to minimize exposure to infectious organisms Complying with policies on patient rights and confidentiality (HIPAA) Utilizing two patient identifiers for patient identification Reporting examination discrepancies as necessary Keeping records / logs of all examinations Documenting examinations accurately and promptly Ensuring optimal quality of mammograms and X-Rays Maintaining and monitoring diagnostic equipment Reporting equipment malfunctions Maintaining examination rooms' cleanliness and supplies 1+ years of experience as a Mammography Technologist High School Diploma / GED Valid Radiologic Technologist license issued by the NYSDOH Post primary certification in Mammography by ARRT Strong attention to detail and communication skills Ability to handle patient information with confidentiality 2 years of experience Associate's and / or Bachelor's Degree BLS certification Experience using EMR software Bilingual Previous experience in outpatient settings
