Job descriptionBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (or equivalent experience). 8+ years in manufacturing (automotive preferred), 4+ years in leadership. Strong knowledge of automotive quality systems, inspection tools, and welding QC checks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Minitab, GAGEtrak. Problem-solving expertise (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone). Position Overview
A confidential manufacturer in Athens, AL is hiring a Quality Assurance & Control Manager . You’ll lead plant-wide quality operations, oversee audits, and ensure compliance with customer, supplier, and industry standards (ISO9001, IATF16949).
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise the quality team across shifts.
- Manage and improve quality systems, audits, and KPIs.
- Investigate defects, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
- Serve as the primary contact for customer, supplier, and internal quality issues.
