Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Thomasville, Georgia (31792) – Georgia travel nursing job Unit : Medical Surgical – Oncology Floor (7 North) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse assignment Start Date : December 15, 2025 End Date : March 16, 2026 Duration : 13 weeks (extension possible) Shift : 12-hour day shifts (07 : 00 - 19 : 00), 4x12-hour days per week is standard Hours per Week : 48 (4x12-hour shifts standard; 3x12-hour shifts may be considered by facility) Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend required Orientation : 16 hours EMR Systems : Cerner & Soarian Scrubs : Royal Blue (not provided) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570-$1610 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Georgia or compact state Minimum 1 year recent Med / Surg RN experience (higher patient ratios preferred) BLS certification required Proficient in telemetry monitoring and IV starts Oncology nursing experience highly preferred Previous travel nursing experience preferred Experience with Cerner EMR system preferred Ability to manage patient ratios of 1 : 6 or 1 : 7 Must be able to work every other weekend Minimal to no requested time off (especially around holidays) Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients on the Medical Surgical Oncology unit Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using Cerner & Soarian EMR systems Perform telemetry monitoring and IV starts Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Efficiently manage higher patient ratios in a fast-paced clinical environment Provide compassionate care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and compliance standards Complete orientation and required modules prior to assignment start Apply now to join our healthcare team for this Med / Surg Registered Nurse travel job in Thomasville, Georgia, and make a difference in patient care today!
