Job Description
- Carry out physician orders, administer medications, initiate IV treatments, perform procedures, and document care in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Order, interpret, and assess diagnostic tests to evaluate patient conditions.
- Assess and monitor patient needs and responses to care.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment in making patient care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
- Administer prescribed and over-the-counter medications as needed.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop personalized care plans for all patients.
- Guide and direct support personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.Current Registered Nurse license in New York State.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.Strong communication, organization, prioritization, and time-management skills.Knowledgeable in quality improvement concepts and able to apply problem-solving techniques effectively.Thank you for your interest in joining Albany Medical Center!
