Description:

SHINE Technologies is seeking a Quality Technician to support compliance to ISO 9001:2015 for our SHINE Systems and Manufacturing division and AS9001-D for our Phoenix Neutron Imaging facility. The primary responsibility of Quality Technician is to perform various testing and inspection activities to ensure that manufactured product conforms to design specifications and customer requirements.

The base salary range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00 per hour plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.


Specific duties and responsibilities of the Quality Technician include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform and document visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance of components and assemblies to specifications.
  • Perform inspection on supplier submitted quality documentation.
  • Follow written inspection procedures and work instructions for purchased material, equipment, parts, and processing ensuring quality traceability information is maintained.
  • Complete internal process audits, assist with assessing non-conformances and completing audit reports.
  • Manage and inventory shelf-life expiry product.
  • Assist with calibrated equipment program and monitoring preventive maintenance program in eMaint.
  • Assist with managing non-conforming product program.
  • Other Quality Related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a quality or inspection role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, schematics, bills of materials and use of measurement equipment.
  • Proficiency completing dimensional layout using measurement tools such as calipers, profilometers, pin gages, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with acceptance criteria and internal audits.
  • Familiarity with using an ERP/inventory management system.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

· Requires frequent leaning, bending, stooping, crouching, grasping, and reaching above the shoulders and below the knees.

· Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average weight objects up to 40 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.

· Fine motor coordination and strong depth perception is beneficial.

· Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

· Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
