Opportunity

We are hiring a Staff – Electrical Project Engineer – Substation Design and Power Electronics . This role is full-time, based at a U.S. regional office with relocation eligible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Function as a technical lead for FACTS projects across distribution, sub-transmission, and transmission voltage classes.
  • Utilize IEEE, IEC, NEC, NERC, ISO / RTO standards to define project requirements, review deliverables, and collaborate with OEM and owner resources.
  • Conduct research and apply non-standard substation design knowledge.
  • Convey technical information to project teams with varying expertise.
  • Lead internal discussions to resolve technical or project management topics.
  • Coordinate with internal / external teams on moderately complex projects.
  • Assist with client interests and drivers on high-voltage substation projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High voltage substation design experience – physical and / or protection & controls.
  • Project lead and technical specialist experience with utility substation clients.
  • Quality assurance / qc review experience.
  • Experience communicating with clients, multidisciplinary leads, and project managers.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
  • Minimum 5 years related work experience.
  • Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.
