Overview
A Technical Writer Level II utilizes component-based content management and will be responsible for structuring documentation into reusable components for efficient content creation and maintenance. Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to develop, organize, and update content modules, ensures consistency and accuracy across all documentation. Leverages CCMS (Component Content Management System) to streamline the process of content creation, revision, and distribution to meet the needs of diverse audiences and platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Develop and maintain documentation using a component-based approach, ensuring consistency and modularity across all content pieces.
Organize and categorize documentation components to facilitate easy retrieval and reuse for various projects and initiatives.
Manage translations of technical documents by coordinating with translation vendors to ensure accurate and timely translation of content into multiple languages that meet regulatory requirements.
Integrate artificial intelligence (AI)translation technologies into the documentation workflow to automate and streamline translation tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce turnaround time.
Convert legacy technical documents into modular components suitable for integration into a component-based content management system, ensuring compatibility and consistency with existing documentation standards.
Qualifications :
Comprehensive proficiency in component-based content management systems (e.g., DITA, XML).
Thorough proficiency in relevant software tools such as Adobe InDesign, FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, Paligo or similar.
Ability to successfully work with cross-functional groups and multiple stakeholders along with experience taking a lead role on small projects or aspects of large scope projects.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency and accuracy across documentation.
Must be self-motivated, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Education and Experience
A candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience writing technical documents and communication.
Experience in translation management and localization processes.
Demonstrated experience in component-based content management systems and translation management.
Preferred Experience
Use of Artificial Intelligence for content generation, translation, or image manipulation.
