Job description

Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality patient care and will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Duties :

  • Conduct patient assessments to identify strengths and weaknesses.
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans to improve function, independence, and overall quality of life.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Utilize a range of therapeutic techniques, including speech therapy, to promote patient recovery and wellness.
  • Provide acute care to patients in the LTC setting.
  • Work in an outpatient setting to provide ongoing therapy and support to patients with diverse needs.
  • Use medical imaging and other diagnostic tools to inform treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and progress.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for maintaining independence.

Requirements :

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current licensure or certification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and physiology knowledge.
  • Ability to provide patient service in LTC and outpatient setting.
  • Experience working with seniors.
  • Familiarity with speech therapy and other forms of therapy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use medical imaging and other diagnostic tools.
