Job description

The new UX Director will play a critical role in building and leading a creative team, dedicated to designing beautiful, intuitive, and pleasurable user experiences.

This FTE position reports to the VP of Product at our client's Seattle office.

You will :

  • Expand, lead, and mentor a team of UX and visual designers
  • Ensure consistent and cohesive user experiences across Web, mobile, and marketing
  • Lead design reviews and discuss decisions and tradeoffs in an open forum
  • Collaborate with PM, Analytics, and Engineering to turn strategic product visions into creative, delightful UX
  • Be a “player coach” who’s willing to get your hands dirty
  • Utilize A / B testing to drive continual improvements to the site experience

You are :

  • The unique product designer who’s equally obsessed with visuals and business outcomes
  • Comfortable with operating at conceptual levels and down-and-dirty pixel polishing
  • A curious and critical thinker, able to articulate complex ideas with humility and humor
  • Familiar with the design considerations imposed by technical constraints
  • Intensely interested in leveraging user tests and feedback to guide design decisions
  • A U.S. citizen or permanent resident and able to work full time in our Seattle offices

    You have experience :

  • Designing and shipping interfaces for mobile-first users
  • Integrating a dynamic UX team into the Agile development workflow
  • Building and maintaining pattern libraries in a responsive web product
  • Managing web and mobile UX teams (5+ years)
