Are you passionate about helping individuals with disabilities build skills, confidence, and community connections? Community Access Unlimited (CAU) is seeking a dedicated Life Skills Instructor to support members of our Day Program in reaching their goals for independence and personal growth.
General Description
As a Life Skills Instructor, you'll play a hands-on role in supporting adults with disabilities through meaningful daily activities, work training, and community-based experiences - all while ensuring their safety, well-being, and inclusion.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- A background in education or experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued. Preference given to candidates with prior experience in employment services and / or providing direct support.
- Possess a valid driver's license and reliable car for work purposes.
- Willingness to attend mandatory paid orientation and ongoing training. Training schedules are flexible and are offered during day and evening hours.

Assist in implementing Individual Service Plans (ISPs)Ensure members' health, safety, and medication administrationTrain and assist with daily life skillsEncourage and support community participation and plan activities in the communityMaintain appropriate staff-member relationshipsKeep records sharp and updated in Carelogic (our Electronic Health Record)Know your way around Microsoft OfficeBenefits
