Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Production Engineer to support and enhance our manufacturing operations while assisting in the successful launch of our products. The Production Engineer is responsible for manufacturing methods, problem solving, and process improvements that ensure efficient, high quality, and safe production. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to
- Lead associates in maintaining safety, quality, and production levels as set by the company.
- Provide leadership to all production associates.
- Provide guidance to Production Supervisors.
- Assure compliance with all Environmental, Health and Safety rules and policies.
- Production planning and scheduling, including ordering raw material and supplies for production.
- Assist in the training and development of associates.
- Assure compliance with TS16949 and ISO14001 operating systems.
- Coordinate and provide all required production reports, forms and document procedures.
- Provide engineering support to production manager as required.
- Support process changes by implementing systems to ensure compliance with all customer requirements and TS16949 system requirements for all continual improvement efforts and understanding the consequences of the product / process not meeting the standard or customer’s quality requirements.
- Work closely with Maintenance and Quality Engineers to ensure compliance for all process and maintenance activities.
- Developing work instructions, procedures, hazard analysis and other written documentation.
- Maintain appropriate records pertaining to production associates
- Prepare investigative reports on issues in the production area.
- Coach and counsel associates
Qualifications and Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field (e.g., Industrial Equipment Engineering) requiredStrong verbal, written, analytical and presentation skills requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) required1 to 3 years experience in a manufacturing setting preferredExperience in supervision, training and engineering preferred
