As a member of AWS AFX - Planning Tools team you will shape the AWS businesss direction as a whole. You will build greenfield solutions from the ground up while using native AWS services and frameworks. The right candidate will have a robust system delivery background well-rounded technical knowledge and demonstrated experience working on large scale projects. The candidate must be customer-obsessed have strong analytical and communication skills enjoy working with native AWS services and thrive on solving challenging business problems. The candidate should be comfortable working in an agile environment and collaborating with multiple teams. You will design and build scalable platforms that enable AWS to sell new products and services with the necessary speed to market.

The team shares a passion for delivering superior products for AWS innovating using advanced technologies and impacting the AWS business in a meaningful way. Were looking for individuals who are comfortable with ambiguity enjoy solving large scale business challenges and enjoy working in a startup-like environment.

Key job responsibilities

Write test and deploy code using Amazon and AWS tools.

Perform technical analysis design development implementation of applications.

Participate in the planning and analysis of requirements for system enhancements translating requirements into well-architecture solutions.

Troubleshoot and fix defects for planned releases and production issues.

Work with a cross-functional Scrum team and product manger to maintain and enhance products and services.

Participate in on-call rotation.

Youll have an opportunity to learn new skills while you contribute to a full-stack web application using micro front-ends microservices and . Youll also use big data and work with scientists on our partner team to use machine learning to discover new insights and make recommendations that will realize millions in savings!

AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue adoption and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

• 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
• 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 2 years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java C or C# including object-oriented design experience
• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
• Masters degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience scripting languages and coding skills for one (1) or more of the following : Ruby C / C / C# Java Python and PHP
• Experience with AWS Services including EC2 Lambda S3 DynamoDB SQS
• Experience with jQuery and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React Redux Ractive Ember or Angular along with the knowledge of when to use them
• AWS certification such as AWS Solutions Architect or a similar cloud certification
• 1 years of agile software development methodology experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and / or other benefits.
