Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a School Nurse (RN & LPN) at Atrium Health Levine Children's Bibb County School District in Macon, GA. The School Nurse will be responsible for providing healthcare support to students, including administering medications, performing health screenings, and managing chronic health conditions. Daily tasks also include creating care plans, providing first aid, collaborating with staff and parents on student health concerns, and maintaining up-to-date health records. The School Nurse will also educate the school community on health and wellness best practices and ensure compliance with health regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid RN or LPN license in the state of Georgia
• Strong clinical skills in administering medication, performing health screenings, and providing first aid
• Experience in creating and managing care plans for students with chronic conditions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff, parents, and students
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate and up-to-date health records
• Ability to educate the school community on health and wellness topics
• Knowledge of health regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience in a school setting is a plus
• Must be licensed in the state of GA or carry multi-state license
