Job Details :

Work varied schedule with weekend and holiday rotation requirements

Possible float assignments to support other units as needed

Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for cardiovascular intensive care patients

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs

Formulate and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team

Provide direct patient care, coordinate care activities, and delegate appropriately to healthcare team members

Document all nursing assessments, interventions and patient responses in compliance with policies and standards

Supervise and provide direction to licensed and non-licensed personnel

Participate in patient and family education, staff orientation and professional development activities

Maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations

Current RN license required with BLS certification

Minimum one year acute care hospital experience in specialty area within past 12 months required

Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred

Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and respond quickly to patient care emergencies

Requires adequate hearing, visual acuity, fine motor skills and ability to communicate effectively
