291276\n\nCERTS / LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS : Must maintain current BLS certification. Certification as OR Surgical Technician is Required.\nMust have Ortho Experience\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES PER AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY : \n\nAssists the surgeons and nursing staff in the performance of surgical procedures.\nCollaborates with all members of the surgical team for the benefit of the patient.\nDemonstrates clinical competence in surgical technical skills, Sterile Processing, Endoscopy and Materials Management Departments.\nDemonstrates a superior sterile conscience through understanding of principles of asepsis and consistently maintains sterile technique.\nCommunicates to the circulating RN and surgeons any breaks in technique.\nEnsures all necessary equipment is in the room prior to the start of the case.\nDemonstrates competency in safely operating all electro-surgical, diagnostic, video equipment, disposable equipment, as well as equipment unique to each specialty area.
