Saalex is seeking an Computer Operator I in Point Mugu, CA. Saalex is an Engineering and Information Technology Services company with a focus on Test Range Operations and Management, Engineering and Logistics Services, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Services and Information Technology Services.

Position Type : Full-Time

Salary : $24.16- $26.50 hourly (depending upon experience)

Work Location : Onsite.

Essential Functions :

A Computer Operator I analyzes existing or proposed systems, designs data processing programs and related procedures to process data, and uses a multi-step process (i.e., system investigation, analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance) to bring new or changed systems to meet customer requirements. The employee will be responsible to perform the following functions / duties :

• Comply with computer operation policy, standards, and procedures
• Ensure general guidelines and technical standards are being met
• Interpret program requirements, audit auxiliary peripheral units to ascertain correctness of input data, and check condition and arrangement of tapes
• Coordinate inputs / data in support of meeting contractual requirements
• Compile programs for programmers
• Write minor operational programs
• Organize computer input and output of data
• Investigate and locate source of non-standard irregularities
• Analyze and recover program operations in complex error situations
• Provide support to investigate and troubleshoot problems in operational hardware and software and develop solutions for issues discovered
• Provide technical support to computer users and organize sequence of events in computer operation cycle
• Provide general maintenance and installation support of computer equipment
• Establish and maintain a filing system of databases for tracking and inventory of database information
• Provide direct customer interface to identify and support database requirements
• Design modifications to current interface to identify and support database requirements
• Develop, process, and submit data reports for technical presentations and meetings
• Other duties as assigned or required
