Summary
Our client, a trusted general contractor with decades of experience delivering public sector and infrastructure projects, is actively seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead city, county, and utility-based initiatives. This individual will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day operations, managing stakeholder communications, and ensuring that construction activities meet all cost, schedule, and compliance expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Manage all phases of construction across municipal infrastructure projects—ranging from pre-construction through final delivery
Serve as the main liaison between contractors, inspectors, engineers, municipal officials, and internal teams
Interpret construction documents, specifications, and contracts to ensure alignment with scope and compliance standards
Monitor timelines, budgets, and manpower, identifying and mitigating issues before they escalate
Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulatory standards and municipal codes
Conduct on-site visits and lead project progress meetings with key stakeholders
Oversee and organize documentation including RFIs, change orders, submittals, and daily / weekly reporting
Enforce safety best practices and monitor field quality control efforts
Participate in contractor selection and procurement efforts, including bid review and evaluation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Minimum of 5 years managing public-sector or infrastructure-related construction projects
Strong understanding of municipal contracts, public procurement processes, and civil infrastructure work
Ability to manage multiple concurrent jobs while maintaining clear communication with clients and internal teams
Excellent leadership, coordination, and decision-making skills
Proficiency in construction management tools such as Procore , MS Project , Bluebeam , and the Microsoft Office Suite
Prior experience working on roadways, water / wastewater treatment, utilities, or civic buildings is strongly preferred
NICET , PMP , or equivalent industry certifications are a plus
