Job descriptionConducting patient assessments and monitoring cardiopulmonary status Administering respiratory treatments and managing oxygen therapy Providing ventilator management and emergency airway support Performing diagnostic evaluations and supporting chronic disease management Documenting patient care and maintaining accurate medical records Minimum 1 year of experience in Acute Care, Critical Care, Emergency Room, Medical-Surgical, Behavioral Health, or related areas Active, unencumbered Respiratory Therapist license (Louisiana compliance may be required) BLS / CPR certification required; ACLS preferred Strong clinical skills in respiratory care and patient assessment Ability to work in high-pressure, emergency environments Excellent teamwork and communication skills Prior experience in emergency response or disaster relief settings Additional specialty certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP) Strong adaptability and critical thinking skills Compassionate, patient-centered approach
A leading healthcare staffing group is currently seeking Respiratory Therapists (RTs) to join its Emergency Response Division in Louisiana . This role offers the opportunity to support rapid statewide deployments in partnership with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH).
About the Opportunity :
- Shift : Day (7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM) or Night (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM)
- Schedule : 12-hour shifts; flexible assignments
- Deployment Locations : New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Alexandria, Lake Charles, Lafayette, Thibodaux, Hammond, Monroe, Bossier City
- Start Timeline : Ability to deploy within 48 hours of notice
- Setting : Emergency preparedness and disaster response environments
