Strong IV skills required

Description :

Nurses will be expected to complete skills assessments related to Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.

Competency in maintaining sterile fields is crucial for success.

Each nurse will undergo educational sessions on lifts, restraints, and wound care, which may differ by facility.

Unit has a high patient acuity with a variety of complex cardiac cases, including recovery from cardiac surgeries.

A significant number of bedside procedures are performed regularly.

Nurses will float to other intensive care and telemetry units as needed.

The typical patient ratio in telemetry units is 4 : 1.

There is a strong presence of specialists on-call for critical situations.

The job requires compliance with weekend and holiday shift rotations as part of the schedule.

Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic work environment with high expectations for clinical skills and teamwork.
