Job description

JourneyCare Hospice is seeking Hospice CNAs in Barrington, IL. New competitive salaries, immediate opening available, generous time off packages, 401K + match and so much more!

Qualifications :

  • Certified by the state as a nurse aide
  • Maintains a current CPR Certification
  • List on the state aide registry with a clear record able to deliver care to patients
  • 18 years of age unless state law dictates otherwise
  • Valid drivers license with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state requirements or reliable transportation preferred

HOURS : (3) 12-hour Shifts / Week 7PM-7 : 30AM Including Every Other Weekend and 3 Holidays / Year

LOCATION : Barrington CareCenter

Now offering up to $26 / hour

Night Shift Differentials : Additional $1.25 / hour during the week nights and additional $2.50 / hour on a weekend night

    • What Youll Do :

  • The Hospice CNA-IPU (Certified Nurse Assistant Inpatient Unit) works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patients personal comfort needs at the unit.
  • The CNA is responsible for observing the patient, reporting these observations, and documenting observations and care performed.
  • Performing personal care needs after given a patients assignment and attending to his / her requests promptly.
  • Meeting safety needs of patient and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, O2 etc.)
  • Giving personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed lined as often as assigned
  • Reporting on patients condition and significant changes. Also aware of the caregiver or other individuals visiting with the patient and interpersonal issues
  • Adhering to the organizations documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct
