Your Role

As a Substance Abuse Counselor , you will engage with patients through individual, group, and family counseling. Collaborating with a dedicated treatment team, you’ll help identify and meet the clinical needs of your patients, ensuring their overall well-being.

Your Daily Impact

Curious about what your day-to-day will look like? Here are some of your essential functions :

  • Conduct intakes, admissions, discharges, and transfer paperwork.
  • Document patient progress through counseling and group interactions.
  • Create individualized treatment plans within required time frames.
  • Identify and address clinical / case management needs.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling as needed.
  • Engage in at least 20 hours of direct patient contact weekly.
  • Educate patients on treatment, health issues, and recovery steps.
  • Review Urine Drug Screens and initial patient identification.
  • Act in the best interests of the program and protect proprietary data.

    • Essential Qualifications

    Education / Licensure / Certification : You must have an active LADC or LPC from the state of Minnesota.

    Experience Required : Experience in the substance abuse field is preferred but not mandatory.
