Position Summary
As a Commercial Lending Officer, you will oversee the commercial credit underwriting process and manage the portfolio for designated markets and lines of business. Your leadership will ensure effective operations and efficient credit decisions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Commercial Underwriters and Credit Analysts through hiring, training, mentoring, and professional development initiatives.
- Maintain clear communication with Underwriters and Analysts to ensure timely credit underwriting, while coordinating with market leadership on workflow priorities.
- Analyze financial metrics such as cash flow, liquidity, profitability, and leverage to evaluate and mitigate credit risks for businesses and individuals, ensuring loan grades align with regulatory standards.
- Assist in Portfolio Management by reviewing financial covenants, conducting portfolio assessments, and monitoring reports related to borrowing bases and exceptions.
- Collaborate with Commercial Relationship Managers to structure loan opportunities, preparing and reviewing opportunity memos for new and existing clients.
- Facilitate the Expedited Underwriting (EU) process for commercial relationships under $1,000,000, including reviewing and approving loan requests.
- Stay updated on the Commercial Banking Loan Policy and lending technology platforms.
- Participate in the sales process and accompany Relationship Managers on client and prospect meetings.
- Approve loans within defined limits and recommend larger loans for further approval.
- Engage in pipeline meetings to understand current and upcoming opportunities, including renewals.
- Foster open communication with Regional / Market leadership about personnel issues, pipeline updates, and credit risk management, offering solutions for identified challenges.
- Assist with additional tasks or special projects as needed.
Knowledge Required

Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance is required.A minimum of 7 years of Commercial Real Estate Credit experience is necessary.Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.Prior managerial experience is preferred.Compensation and Benefits
Your salary will reflect your qualifications and experience, with a potential eligibility for bonuses based on performance.
Salary Range : $110,000 - $135,000 per year.
