POSITION SUMMARY :
Under general supervision of the Practice Manager and Physicians, LVNs / LPNs are responsible for performing direct patient care activities and working in an interdisciplinary team. Perform delegated functions and appropriate nursing interventions in concert with the attending provider. The LVN / LPN maintains accountability for their own nursing knowledge and skills in accordance with policy and procedure and the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Clinics / Hospitals.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :
- Current unencumbered LVN / LPN licensure issued by the applicable State Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners.
- BLS certification required.
- One to three years' clinical experience as an LVN is preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish / English) preferred
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES :
Work closely with providers to assist in delivering world-class care to patients.Collaborate with a team of licensed and non-licensed personnel under the guidance of a providerComplete accurate and timely documentation of all patient information in appropriate EMR systems.Assist providers during examinations by assisting in Venipuncture draws, performing tests, and administering medications.Assist providers with the implementation of patient's plan of care.Evaluate the patient's wellbeing, reporting any needs to medical staff.Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in examination rooms and with instruments.Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA / Confidentiality rules and PHI regulationsConsistently supports and maintains the Mission, Core Values and expected customer service behaviors of the clinic / hospital by following all policies and the Code of Conduct.Performs other duties as assigned including cross training and possible travel to other clinics.
