The Employee Development Manager is responsible for supporting and enhancing staff development initiatives across the organization. This role plays a key part in promoting a positive organizational culture, increasing employee engagement, and contributing to talent retention strategies. Responsibilities :

  • Conduct research to identify and implement initiatives that improve employee culture, engagement, and retention.
  • Design, develop, and deliver presentations for staff at all levels—including frontline employees, supervisors, managers, and directors.
  • Develop and maintain engaging presentations and materials for staff development workshops and in-services.
  • Track and report on staff development initiatives, succession planning, and training effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team to reduce staff turnover and increase employee tenure.
  • Serve as a consultant and advisor to department leaders for in-service education and development.
  • Ensure that in-service and continuing education programs are regularly scheduled, documented, and responsive to departmental needs.
  • Develop and manage resources including libraries, multimedia tools, and training platforms to support ongoing education.
  • Provide feedback and consultation to leadership on staff training needs and progress.
  • Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in training, staff development, or adult education.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Proven experience developing and facilitating training programs.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across departments.
  • Proficiency with presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, Canva), learning management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
