Job description

JOB TITLE : Medical Operations Manager

LOCATION : Atlanta, GA

TYPE : In office

Are you a results-driven healthcare leader passionate about operational excellence and high-quality patient care? We are seeking a Medical Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations across multiple primary care clinic locations. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless, efficient, and compliant clinical environment, contributing to patient satisfaction and organizational performance.

As the Medical Operations Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage workflows, enforce compliance protocols, and support initiatives tied to quality improvement and value-based care models. Your leadership will drive clinical efficiency, patient outcomes, and staff engagement across the practice locations.

Key Responsibilities : Operational Leadership

  • Manage daily clinical and administrative operations across multiple primary care sites.
  • Supervise and support medical assistants, front-office staff, and clinical support personnel.
  • Standardize workflows and implement policies across locations to promote consistency and excellence in care.

Quality & Performance Management

  • Lead performance initiatives aligned with HEDIS, NCQA, and value-based care metrics.
  • Collaborate with providers to close care gaps and enhance patient outcomes.
  • Monitor KPIs across clinical quality, patient experience, and utilization.
  • Compliance & Risk Oversight

  • Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Manage secure handling of medical records and confidential patient data.
  • Support audit preparedness and remediation processes.
  • Financial & Administrative Operations

  • Partner with leadership on budgeting, resource planning, and cost control.
  • Coordinate revenue cycle support, including billing and coding accuracy.
  • Analyze financial and operational reports to identify performance trends.
  • Team Development & Communication

  • Act as the primary liaison between providers, staff, and executive leadership.
  • Conduct staff training, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Lead team meetings and ensure alignment on strategic goals and expectations.
  • Qualifications :

  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in a healthcare or multi-site clinical setting.
  • Deep understanding of primary care workflows, population health, and value-based care.
  • Proven experience with HEDIS and quality improvement frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CMS, OSHA, and regulatory standards.
  • Proficient in EHR systems and healthcare analytics platforms.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and decision-making skills.
