Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Nuclear Medicine Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : ASAP Duration : 52 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Local Contract Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Full Time Job Summary The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing brain SPECT scans and related quality assurance procedures in a fast-paced outpatient healthcare setting. This role requires technical expertise, patient care skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities Perform brain SPECT scans and ensure imaging quality. Prepare IVs and administer patient doses. Process and print scan images before the end of the workday. Implement and oversee testing protocols. Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and comfort during procedures. Qualifications Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in the applicable state (Required). Ability to work efficiently with large patient volumes. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to patients. Time management and ability to work independently or within a team. Empathy and emotional stability, ensuring positive patient interactions. Familiarity with brain imaging (Preferred). Experience with Picker Prism 3000 system (Preferred). Physical & Work Environment Frequent typing, screen viewing, and use of office equipment. Prolonged sitting during imaging procedures. Frequent hearing, listening, and verbal communication.
