Now Hiring : Content & Copywriting Specialist

The Vicus Capital Marketing team is looking to hire a Content & Copywriting Specialist.  This position reports to the Marketing Manager and is responsible for crafting engaging content for the firm across a range of financial services and practice management topics.  The ideal candidate will have strong writing and editing skills, a willingness to learn new tools and skills, and have experience in the financial services or another regulated industry.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Writing and editing content for use in various mediums including :

Website and landing pages, optimizing for SEO

  • Email campaigns and newsletters
  • Corporate blog posts and other thought leadership materials
  • Investment strategy and other corporate program materials
  • Social media content
  • Advertisements and brand awareness campaigns
  • Sourcing content for use in social media from qualified companies in the financial services industry
  • Providing grammar reviews on firm commentaries, resources, and other materials written by colleagues across the firm to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand messaging
  • Actively participating in marketing strategy development for both Vicus Capital and our partner financial advisors
  • Regular analyzing competitors to see what other RIAs in the industry are discussing
  • Open line of communication with the Advisor Engagement and Compliance teams to ensure content is aligned with firm and advisor priorities while staying within regulatory requirements
  • Assisting with data analysis for marketing campaigns and using these findings to influence content direction
  • Ad hoc tasks as assigned
  • What You Bring

  • Bachelors degree and / or equivalent professional experience
  • Prior experience in financial services (or another regulated industry) is strongly preferred

  • Basic knowledge of financial topics, or willingness to learn them
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Highly detailed with a strong grammar acuity
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of WordPress is preferred
  • Previous experience optimizing web content for SEO is a plus
  • Willingness to learn new skills and tools
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects while keeping to assigned deadlines
  • A self-starter with a high degree of professionalism
