American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Jacksonville, Illinois.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg night shift position in a critical access, Magnet-designated hospital, requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of one year of Med / Surg experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a critical access, Magnet hospital
  • Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30
  • Patient ratio of 1 : 6 on all shifts
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • No on-call required
  • Floating between two Med Surg units as needed
  • Cerner charting system is used
  • First-time travelers accepted for this position
  • Med / Surg nursing care including IV starts and monitoring patient ratios
  • Discuss schedule and time-off requests directly with manager
  • Scrubs may be any solid color
  • Parking is provided at no cost with permit arranged during orientation
  • Local candidates accepted with no radius restrictions

    • Requirements

  • Active IL RN license or in application process with ETA
  • Minimum of one year recent Med / Surg RN experience required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Ability to start IVs required
  • ACLS preferred
  • Cerner EMR experience preferred
  • Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
