Growing company on the west side of St. Louis is seeking an Applications Engineering Manager to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience with HVAC design. Previous supervisory experience required, as this position will manage a team of 5. Proficiency with CAD and HVAC terminology required.
All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
responsibilities :
- Serve as the company's liaison between engineering, manufacturing and customer service
- Work to maintain quality of equipment and provide expertise on component installation
- Oversee the engineering team of 5 employees
- Ensure design engineers and sales engineers are working together to develop the best product
- Review technical details and documentation for projects
- Review submittals for documentation and technical details prior to customer review
- Serve as technical advisor on plan and job specs
- Maintain costing program and testing procedures / documentation
- Work with electrical department on new mechanical and electrical technologies
- Consult emerging technologies and market trends to design new products competitive with the market
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive energy analysis program for new products
- Work with customer service to propose cost effective solutions and perform root cause analysis to solve issues
