Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a top Healthcare client.
This dynamic role provides compassionate and reliable care to critically ill cardiovascular patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessments. The CVICU RN must be highly skilled, capable of making autonomous clinical assessments and managing complex treatments within a collaborative, supportive team dedicated to continuous quality improvement and providing excellent patient care.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide high-focus, specialized nursing care to critically ill CVICU patients, including frequent and intensive assessments and monitoring.
- Make accurate clinical assessments of patient situations and autonomously manage appropriate treatment protocols based on evidence-based practice.
- Serve as the dedicated patient and family advocate, rigorously protecting patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Instruct patients and their families thoroughly regarding new medications and ongoing treatment instructions, ensuring clarity and compliance.
- Provide high-quality care with a commitment to continuous professional improvement, supporting quality outcomes within the unit.
- Respond immediately to acute changes in patient condition, utilizing advanced critical care knowledge and decisive judgment.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive and excellent patient care delivery.
Requirements
Education
Associate Degree or Registered Nurse Diploma is required.Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.Experience
Minimum of one (1) year of RECENT (within the last year) ICU RN experience in an acute care hospital setting is REQUIRED.Prior CVICU experience is highly desirable (implied by the job title).Certifications / Licenses
Florida RN license and / or approved multistate RN license is required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.Basic Life Support (BLS-AHA Provider) issued card is required within 30 days of start.NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ACLS Instructor certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or PALS Instructor certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.Skills
