Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Recreational Therapist to work at a facility in Coalinga , California . These are registry positions with our company.

Pay Rate : $58 / hour

  • Area : Mental Health OT-10H Class : RECT Shift : 1 Start : 07 : 00 : 00 End : 17 : 30 : 00 Requirements :
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 36 months (3yrs) as a Recreational Therapist
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Compassionate and caring demeanor
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association) CERTIFICATES ACCEPTED FROM THE NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR THERAPUTIC CERTIFICATON (NCTRC) OR THE CALIFORNIA BOARD OF RECREATON AND PARK CERTIFICATION (CBRPC)

    • Responsibilities :

  • Assess patient needs
  • Consider medical records
  • Personal observation and talks with the patient and his or her loved ones
  • Execute a therapeutic program targeted toward what that patient requires most
  • Keep current on communal and therapeutic resources available to best help the patients
  • Document a patient's progress during their activities
  • Other duties assigned my supervisor
