Job Requirements

  • Education Requirements : Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.\n
  • Certifications Requirements : Valid Illinois PTA license; CPR certification; HIPAA certification.\n
  • Experience Requirements : At least 1 year of experience as a PTA in a hospital setting; experience with adult patient populations; familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.\n
  • Other Requirements : Ability to stand for extended periods; strong communication skills; attention to detail.\n

    Job Responsibilities

    \n \n

  • Provide direct patient care to enhance mobility and functional recovery in a hospital setting.\n
  • Collaborate with physical therapists and healthcare team members to develop and implement patient treatment plans.\n
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment sessions in EMR systems.\n
  • Educate patients and family members on rehabilitation exercises and proper health practices.\n
  • Execute patient assessments and report findings to the supervising physical therapist to ensure optimal care adjustments.\n
