ELECTRICIAN

• Completed high school or equivalent plus possess a certification of completion from
an approved secondary education institution (technical college, university, etc.) with
an electrical major, or emphasis.
• Minimum of three or more years of formal training and credible work experience.
• Documented relevant experience related to industrial electrical may be allowed to
substitute for formal education.
• Documented experience with PLCs shall be favorably considered.
• Perform technical work on industrial electric power and control systems,
computerized/programmable controls, electric equipment, panels, instruments, and
related devices connected with wastewater conveyance, pumping and treatment
processes.
• Work involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, re-programming, repairing, replacing,
maintaining, new installation, testing, calibration and analysis of District
infrastructure systems.
• Available to work extended hours (early arrival and/or late departure) when
necessary for emergencies or when systems are inoperable and require continued
efforts.
• Able to work alone, unassisted, or as a member of a crew.
