Overview
Kimley-Horn's Orange office is seeking a Roadway Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join their Roadway team. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Candidates must have a willingness to perform a variety of civil engineering tasks supporting various project managers as required. Job duties may include, but are not limited to :
Plan and estimate preparation
Horizontal design including roadway / site layout and alignmentsVertical design including profiles, grading, and drainage designProficiency in at least one of the following 3D design softwares : Autodesk Civil 3D, Bentley InRoads / InRail, Bentley Open Roads Designer (ORD)As a critical member of the team, you will perform a variety of engineering tasks and will receive both on-the-job and formal training as well as mentorship and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactionsQualifications
2+ years experience with a civil engineering design firmBachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering"Engineer-In-Training" or "Engineering Intern" certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)Working knowledge of MicroStation / InRoads / OpenRoads and / or AutoCAD Civil 3DExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal skillsStrong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlinesDetail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environmentAbility to work independently and as a teamSalary Range : $100,000 to $120,000
