Pipe Stress Engineer-Steam and Power Generation Projects
ESI is seeking a Pipe Stress Engineer to join our team. This position requires a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and experience conducting pipe stress analysis of piping systems involving steam turbines, pumps, heat exchangers, and tanks.

Responsibilities :
- Conduct pipe stress analysis of piping systems (both static and dynamic) using AutoPIPE Software
- Conduct pipe stress analysis for piping systems involving steam turbines, pumps, heat exchangers, and tanks
- Develop engineering computations and evaluations for critical piping systems for sustained, thermal, and occasional loads
- Perform evaluation of local stresses on equipment nozzles per WRC107 / 297
- Evaluate and specify pipe support for all critical piping
- Collaborate with piping designers and other engineers to optimize pipe routing and pipe support design
- Extract engineering data from CAD drawings and computer models
- Develop detailed requisitions for pipe stress equipment and materials
- Prepare pipe stress reports
- Perform detailed reviews and checks of stress analysis designs from other stress engineers
- Lead piping only studies and projects
- Lead the piping engineering effort on larger projects
- Create and review new and revise existing P&ID's for steam and power systems
- Present engineering progress for your area responsibilities at internal and client meetings
Requirements :
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical EngineeringExperience running Pipe Stress Analysis using AutoPIPE Software or similar softwareUnderstanding of ASME, API and ANSI CodesExperience analyzing high temperature and pressure piping systems in Steam and Power Generating PlantsExperience conducting pipe stress analysis of piping systems involving steam turbines, pumps, heat exchangers, and tanksEIT CertificationPE License preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated to complete project tasks efficiently and meet project deadlinesESI is an employee-owned company that offers competitive salaries, a complete benefits package, a hybrid work model and only works a half-day on Fridays.
