BSA Health System in Amarillo, TX , is seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to serve as its ECMO Coordinator and Clinical Trainer.

This is an opportunity to assist with the development of a new ECMO program at 450-bed BSA Hospital, a referral facility and Primary Plus Stroke Center servicing approximately 600,000 in the tri-state area.

Required : Extensive experience in the management of ECMO patients.

About the Position :

• Inpatient only
• 90% Clinical, 10% Teaching
• 48-bed ICU
• 40-hour work week
• Expected Patient Load : 2-3 / day
• Excess Call pay available
• Oversee the development and implementation of ECMO training programs for staff, ensuring competency in ECMO Management and care.
• Provide patient and patient family ECMO education, including treatment goals, potential risks, benefits, etc.
• Develop, implement and manage policies and procedures for the ECMO program

Provides clinical guidance and consultation to the ECMO team, including physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and perfusionists.
