Neuro ICU RN Job Details Location : Columbus, Ohio (43210) – Ohio nursing jobs Unit : Neuro Intensive Care Unit (NCCU) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Duration : 13-week contract Shifts : Day / Night rotation, every other weekend Schedule : 3x12-hour shifts per week (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM / 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM) Hours per Week : 36 On-Call : Required Floating : Required within units of equivalent or lower acuity Patient Ratio : 1 : 1–2 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1940–$1990 Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 3 years of recent Neuro ICU RN experience Active Registered Nurse license (compact or Ohio state RN license required at submission) Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only) Epic EHR experience preferred Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Two professional references (one from a manager / director or supervisor) Previous travel nursing experience preferred Neuro ICU RN Responsibilities Provide advanced neurocritical care to patients with complex neurological conditions : ischemic / hemorrhagic strokes, subarachnoid hemorrhages, seizures, neuromuscular diseases, and post-op neurosurgery cases Perform and manage neurocritical procedures : EVD and ICP monitoring, ventilator management, arterial / central line care, lumbar drains Administer emergency medications, blood products, and titrate cardiac / vasoactive drips Interpret arterial blood gases, dysrhythmias, and 12-lead EKGs Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, social services) Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed Maintain infection prevention and isolation protocols Participate in bedside procedures and post-op management for neurosurgical patients Ready to take your nursing career to the next level?
