Introduction Our client is a small animal hospital seeking a Medical Director to join their established and trusted team. For decades, families have relied on this practice not only for routine care but also for advanced surgeries and complex cases that are often referred from other clinics. Working Hours / Rota The hospital is open Monday and Tuesday from 8 AM to 6 PM, Wednesday from 8 AM to 3 PM, Thursday from 8 AM to 6 PM, Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and Saturday from 8 AM to 1 PM, with coverage required for three Saturdays per month. The hospital is closed on Sundays. Doctor hours are open to discussion, and this is a full-time position. Role Description and Responsibilities As Medical Director, you will share responsibility for setting hospital protocols, refining efficiency and flow, and ensuring the doctors and staff have the support they need. Alongside your leadership duties, you will manage a mix of surgery and appointments, with the ability to bring your own strengths and passions to the role. This opportunity is best suited for an experienced doctor motivated by leadership, growth, and the chance to make a lasting impact. Practice Details This is a busy practice with five exam rooms, a surgery suite with three tables, and a dedicated dental suite. The hospital is equipped with digital radiography and is supported by a strong technician-to-doctor ratio. In addition to being a full-service general practice, the hospital also provides some emergency and urgent care services, laser therapy, and more. Team The hospital has four DVMs supported by a great team with a brilliant technician-to-doctor ratio, fostering a collaborative environment that enables high-quality patient care and professional growth.
