Associate Marketing Manager

SUMMARY
The Associate Marketing Manager should be a hands-on, execution-driven, Go-To-Market Lead, who thrives at the intersection of Sales, Marketing, and R&D. This role is responsible for bringing strategy to life—turning product innovation, market insights, and brand direction into customer-ready go-to-market execution. This role will be responsible for compelling sales tools, launch assets, product stories, and flavor collections that enable Sales to win and position Edlong as a trusted partner. Operating at the execution center of Edlong’s Commercial Triangle, this role ensures alignment, clarity, and speed from innovation to customer impact.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Execution and Sales Enablement

• Serve as the hands-on marketing lead, translating strategic priorities into market-ready execution.
• Develop high-impact sales enablement tools, including:
  • Customer presentations
  • One-pagers and product sheets
  • Launch kits and flavor collections
  • Event and customer-facing materials in coordination with Digital and Brand Comms Specialist
• Ensure consistency, clarity, and strong on-brand storytelling across all GTM assets.
• Enable Sales adoption by supporting training, usage guidance, and continuous improvement of tools.
• Coordinate targeted customer-based marketing initiatives in partnership with internal teams and external agencies, in collaboration with Digital Analyst
• Maintain proactive communication with Sales on launches, campaigns, events, and customer initiatives. (In collaboration with Digital and Brand Comms Specialist)

Product Marketing and Commercial Support

• Translate product capabilities, flavor technologies, and market trends into compelling, customer-ready messaging.
• Build and maintain clear, customer-centric product line stories that support differentiation and commercial relevance.
• Identify messaging gaps and support product roadmap initiatives in close collaboration with R&D.
• Support and co-lead cross-functional teams during New Product Innovation cycles, from positioning through launch execution.
• Partner with the Digital Analyst to apply customer, campaign, and performance insights to refine messaging, prioritization, and GTM effectiveness.
• Collaborate closely with the Digital & Brand Communications Specialist to ensure consistent product storytelling across sales tools, campaigns, and digital channels.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as a proactive, service-oriented Marketing representative within commercial activities.
• Serve as a connector across Sales, R&D, Sales Operations, Digital Analytics, and Brand Communications, ensuring alignment and smooth execution.
• Champion a collaborative, team-first mindset—communicative, adaptable, and committed to shared outcomes.
• Represent Marketing with professionalism, credibility, and a strong customer focus.
• Provide executional support to Edlong’s Commercial Triangle, ensuring that strategy, innovation, and selling are fully connected.

EDUCATION, REQUIREMENTS, CERTIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field required.
• 2-4 years of B2B marketing experience, ideally in food, ingredients or a technical commercial environment.
• Experience creating customer-facing material and GTM assets.
• Proven ability to translate technical concepts into compelling value propositions.
• Comfortable working cross functionally with Sales, R&D, Digital and Brand teams.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to:

• Read, write, comprehend written, electronic, spoken instructions, memos, correspondence, communicate verbally by phone and electronically in a professional manner in English.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one, large and small group situations to employees.
• Compile data into reports and summaries.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to:

COMPUTER SKILLS
Working knowledge of:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data organization, analysis, and performance tracking.
• Must be proficient using Microsoft Office required, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; CRM and marketing automation experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job:

• The employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit
• The employee must be able to operate a keyboard, calculator and telephone

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• This is a full time position; on site in Elk Grove Village. This role is hybrid, requiring to be onsite 4 days a week.
• This position occasionally requires travel for company meetings and events.
• Typical workday attendance will require standard business hours with few unscheduled absences.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may at times be exposed to non-hazardous fumes.

• Salary range is between $86,000 - $105,000 based off background and experience.
